External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar connected Thursday spoke to his Afghani counterpart, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, and reaffirmed India’s “traditional friendship" with the Taliban-governed country.

This comes aft Pakistan said an Indian rocket had deed Afghanistan – a assertion that was swiftly denied by Kabul connected May 10.

He added: “Welcomed his steadfast rejection of caller attempts to make distrust betwixt India and Afghanistan done mendacious and baseless reports."

He highlighted India’s relationship with Afghanistan and said helium discussed aboriginal practice betwixt the 2 countries with Muttaqi.

“Underlined our accepted relationship with the Afghan radical and continuing enactment for their improvement needs. Discussed ways and means of taking practice forward," helium wrote.

After Pakistan’s claims astir the rocket hit, Afghanistan refuted them arsenic “false". Afghan defence ministry spokesperson Enaitullah Khawarzmi said Pakistan’s allegations were “unfounded".

“Afghanistan is harmless and secure. No specified incidental has taken place," Khaama Press reported, quoting a spokesperson for the Afghan Ministry of Defence.

India, too, has described Pakistan’s allegations arsenic “false" and a “completely ludicrous claim".

Pakistan Army spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry had claimed that 1 of the missiles fired by India during Operation Sindoor had landed wrong Afghan territory.
